Tuesday November 20th saw Bahrain Rugby Football Club rub the magic ESP lamp and an Elite Version 6 Software Genie came with a bang, this is the story of ESP's first Arabian adventure. Bahrain Rugby Football Club (BRFC) formed in 1971, and now has over 3,000 members. The Club's legendary hospitality mixed with it's fun for all the family vibe provides a home away from home for a huge expatriate community, with classes and activities for Old and Young. The team is headed by GM Derek McKenzie, a CMM accredited General Manger with over 30 years club management experience; 17 years working overseas. BRFC has grown to become one of the largest and prestigious private members club in the Bahrain. Traditionally one of the finest sporting clubs in the region, the Rugby 1st XV are the current West Asia Cup Champions. The Club itself hasn't stopped growing since it's formation in 1971 and whilst the facilities are of good standard there are plans afoot for a club house and sporting arena development in the future. Not only is BRFC Club with great sporting pedigree, it is equally as famous for it's events - not at least the huge 'Trib-Fest' Concert held at the club bi - annually, 'Trib-Fest' a 12 - hour music festival featuring the best Tribute acts from all over the globe. Seasons Greetings 'Tis the season to be jolly and what better way to end the week here at ESP than sporting our festive Christmas Jumpers with a mince pie in hand all in the name of Save The Children Charity. Starting off the festivities we saw staff sleigh their way down to reception for our annual Secret Santa where we unwrapped an array of unique, delicious and thoughtful gifts. Followed by our Save The Children sweepstake and Christmas nibbles! The ladies in Admin & Finance spreading the Christmas joy from head to toe A very merry looking trainer Bob kitted out in his light up Christmas jumper Congratulations to our receptionist Lucy who's festive threads landed her the prize for best Christmas jumper! A big thank you to everybody at ESP who donated and took part in our festive - filled Friday. It was a great day for a great cause!

Join us in congratulating Daniel Clarke on his one - year anniversary at ESP! Dan joined the team back in 2017 as our Junior Support Analyst with the responsibility of supporting customers with their issues and queries regarding our ESP software and hardware. His role requires him to be the first port of call, carrying out diagnostics to identify where the customers issue lies and in turn resolving the issue. In honour of Dan's one year at ESP we sat down with the computing graduate to learn more about his role. What made you want to apply for the role of Junior Support Analyst at ESP? I have always had a keen interest in I.T even prior to university, after graduating I felt this role was a great opportunity to invest the knowledge that I had already learnt and learn new skills that I can apply to work and everyday life. It's also convenient that the office is based in my local area. Could you talk us through a brief day for Dan in the office? My hours are 9-5.30 and during those hours I'm preparing any hardware that needs configuring and answering the phone to new and already open calls with customers. These issues could range from hardware issues to the software itself which I diagnose to reach a resolution. What experience did you have prior to working with us? EGGS, FLOUR, ACTION! Following on from last year's successful Halloween theme where our talented trainer Peter Holder and "Star Baker" triumphed with his spooky adaption of the ESP jigsaw, last Friday marked the annual staff bake - off and with whisks at the ready and oven gloves on, it was an entertaining and edible afternoon here at ESP! This year we upped the ante and raised the temperature with the theme "Hollywood", think innovative bakes - ranging from clapper board brownies to popcorn cupcakes. All judged by our very own David 'Mary Berry' Ross himself. After a tense 20 minute taste test it was a difficult (yet delicious) decision and the results are as followed: Second place - Operations Director Mike O'Connell with a purple themed sponge cake featuring star detailing around the outside. First place and our "Star Baker" goes to Sales Administrator Hayley Bennion with her golf themed, salted caramel sponge cake! Congratulations Hayley! (We all know who we will be assigning staff birthday cake duties in the future) Once again the team have demonstrated their extreme creativity, competitiveness and ability to cook up a storm in the office!
